To advise the Police Authority on all aspects relating to the IT and Communication Strategy, procurement, delivery and resourcing including financial implications.

TERMS OF REFERENCE

Function/Purpose:  

To advise the Police Authority on all aspects relating to Information Communications Technology (ICT) Strategy, procurement, delivery and resourcing including financial implications.

  • To review and consider on behalf of the Authority, the ICT Strategy and make recommendations.

  • To receive reports and monitor the implementation of the ICT Strategy.

  • To oversee on behalf of the Authority, the procurement and implementation of individual ICT projects.

  • To monitor the capital and revenue ICT budget.

  • To receive ICT budgetary control reports and other financial statements.

  • To review, consider and agree the annual ICT budget and make recommendations to the Finance Committee/Authority.

  • To review and consider the ICT Security Strategy, Business Continuity Plans and Disaster Planning.

  • To engage with and monitor the partnership working between Hampshire Constabulary and Thames Valley Police as defined by the Terms of Reference and Governance agreed by both Police Authorities.

Note:  Members of the ICT Strategy Committee will be appointed to specific project boards.
