    2009/10?

    These priorities have been identified by the Police Authority as a result of our public consultations with you. They are not listed in priority order.To continue:

    • To focus on Anti Social Behaviour (ASB)

    • To focus on combating alcohol related crime

    • The focus on combating vandalism

    • To strengthen the relationship of partnership working with rural councils in order to deal with low level ASB

    • To provide same level of service to the business community as residential communities

    • To focus on concerns of young people in relation to the supply and use of drugs

    • To provide a consistent level of service for all in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight

    • To provide a transparent and effective complaints process that instils confidence

    2008/09?

    In previous years the Authority had found that consultation outcomes tended to focus upon areas of anti social behaviour

    Your top three concerns were:

    • Speeding and Anti-Social use of Vehicles

    • Young People  people congregating

    • Drunk or Rowdy Behaviour

APA Award Winners

Hampshire Police Authority was recognised for excellence in CommunityEngagement as winners at the Association of Police Authorities Recognising Excellence Awards 2008













Since April 2008 to date

  • The Community Engagement Committee  has received more than 30 event and consultation activity reports.

  • The Authority has also held a large scale stakeholder event .

  • Met with Members of Parliament .

  • Been active in 15 Crime Disorder Reduction Partnerships

  • Consulted on complaints received by the Constabulary

  • Consulted on budget proposals for 2009/10
