Workshops for Schools
Course Programme 2012
These workshops are designed for Headteachers, Administrative Officers and other senior managers who have responsibility for school recruitment. The sessions are not designed to provide a comprehensive overview of recruitment and selection but will focus on how delegates can begin to review their school's own recruitment policies and practices, with the aim of making them safer. The aim of the session is to provide participants with an understanding of the principles and mechanisms required to make fair and safe appointments and to identify the key features of recruitment that help deter or prevent the appointment of unsuitable people. The sessions will also provide delegates with an opportunity to explore policies and practices that minimise opportunities for abuse or ensure its prompt reporting.
At the end of the course you will have an opportunity to complete the CWDC assessment which will result in you being issued with a nationally recognised certificate that demonstrates you have been trained in safer recruitment practice. Please note that delegates will need to complete the whole course before they take the Assessment and can be issued with a certificate so ensure you are able to attend the whole course.
