How telecare can help

A daughter had to sleep in her mother’s bedroom as her mother kept falling when she got up in the night to go to the bathroom. This often resulted in hospital admissions. Drum Housing fitted a pressure mat by the mother’s bed, which links to a vibrating pad under the daughter’s pillow. Now the daughter can sleep in her own bed with her husband again. If her mother puts a foot on the floor then the daughter is alerted (the husband is not disturbed). The mother has not fallen since the equipment has been fitted.
